“Under a beautiful waxing gibbous Iowa moon, 53 golfers tee’d it up on July 26th at our golf course. It was a bit unusual because it was 9:00 at NIGHT ! We were thrilled with the turnout of golfers at our first event produced by Laser Glow Golf. We have done a few night events in the past, but none compared to the reaction our players gave us at this one. Laser Glow Golf is unlike anything they had seen before, and it is a very visual night time golf experience. Each hole, and all the markers from the tee box, fairways and greens were designed with their own color scheme, making it very easy for us to do a shotgun start with our players. We charged $20 per player and did a 2 person best shot format. We had donated prizes and clubhouse items to give away for the 2 flights we scored. (we will get some good pictures at the next event)
Before the players were even done with their 9 holes, they were asking us to play more…they almost demanded that we have another event soon, so we booked one with Laser Glow Golf for 2 weeks from our initial evening event. The entire course was laid out using a limited distance ball, so we didn’t have to use the entire course…shorter yardages meant everyone could easily walk the 9 hole course. There was ample space between fairways, and the guys at Laser Glow Golf did a great job with the layout keeping the safety of our players at the top of their list. We will be having multiple events at our course, and we definitely see this growing the game of golf ! We will be adding a “cosmic putting” challenge to the next event to make it even more enjoyable and social ! Our revenues from that initial evening gave us the indication that we can make this a success to our bottom line operations at our golf course. Thanks again LGG for a great evening together. “
